About Anandanagar High School

Ananadanagar High School, Co-Education founded in 1962 in the village Anandanagar which is 04 km away from NH34. The School is situated on the bank of river “Jalangi” covering an area of 2.3200 Acr. It is surrounded by villages like Mayakol, Sahebnagar, Panditpur, Bhaktanagar, Hansadanga, Srikrishna Pur, Bonogram, Haranagar, Dolimola, Bahadurpur, Bishnu Nagar has an excellent natural surroundings with fields of crops and meadows having about 1210 Students 26 teaching staff and 03 Non teaching staff. The school is 03 storeyed buildings having well decorated 28 class rooms, 02 big hall rooms and electric fan in all classes. The school is U pattern. A beautiful big gate with arch at the entrance. The school has two adjacent play grounds, One small and the other big which is situated behind the school.

The facilities of outdoor sports like Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Football, Badminton etc are available. There is Computer room where many modern computers are placed for the students to learn. Mid-Day-Meal for the student of class V to VIII is running. The school Uniform is very smart looking. The girls wear white and Red Cross striped shirt and maroon skirt. The boys wear white shirt and black trouser. The girls wear a white pair of socks and polished shining shoes.

The school has also a library room, a Geography Lab, a Physics Lab and a Biology Lab for practical classes. It is an HS school having only the arts stream. Besides the language subjects, HIST, GEGR, SNSK, EDCN, PHIL are the different optional subjects which are taught in H.S stream. There is a “Sajal Dhara” drinking water for the students and staff. The school has separate boys and girls Toilet and Urinals with modern facilities. The school has been transformed into a Govt. Sponsored School having the management committee since 24-12-2014.
